Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU …

It’s a goodbye to Friday’s Virtual Happy Hour —it was a fun way to end each week during COVID’s shut-in time. With summer here and outdoor activities picking up (hooray), it’s time to put it to bed. I loved the ideas shared; movie catchups on the streaming venues; recipes and how-tos that were bantered around; and meeting new authors. Thank you to all who participated

Last Friday ended with a weekend jam on my neighbor Phil’s driveway. Over 50 of us in the neighborhood brought our lawn chairs, spreading them out on the street and lawns along with favorite beverages for a toe-tapping … and get up and move around dancing in the street. Music of the 60s and 70s were pulled from the four musicians as they played and sang for two hours. The “kitty” can be out and many hundreds of dollars were donated to one of the Animal Rescue groups. A wonderful way to kick off the weekend.

I was moving my right foot to the music, since the left wasn’t working so well—I thought I had sprained my ankle. On Monday, I finally admitted that I felt miserable and threw in the towel and made my way to the ER. No wonder I wasn’t a full speed—my ankle was broken … and had been for five days—no wonder it was painful and difficult for me to walk or put any weight on it. Now, I’m grounded—no weight on it, heavily booted until the surgery is done netcweek and having to restructure the next month. Good thing that grandson Ryan nailed his driver’s license—he’s now my official gofer and driver. Since my downstairs offices are a no-no, the library upstairs has been converted is a temp until I have stairs access next month. So not on my calendar!

Looking forward to the new webinar on creating workbooks next Thursday. The date needed to be moved from Tuesday to the 18th due to my surgery.
